Google is urging Apple to adopt Rich Communications Services (RCS) to make texting between Android and iPhones easier. Google says RCS doesn't work between Apple's proprietary iMessage and Google's Messages app. RCS supercharges regular text messages, allowing for features like reading receipts, text effects, and other benefits. But because the platforms aren't compatible, messages between iPhones and Androids revert to regular, outdated text messages.
Xiaomi has unveiled a humanoid robot that can recognize human emotions and create visual reconstructions of the world. The robot, called CyberOne, is 177cm tall, weighs 52kg, and has a 168cm arm span. Xiaomi says it can simulate human movement and can hold 1.5kg of weight.
