Microsoft said Chinese government-backed hackers have compromised key U.S. cyberinfrastructure for intelligence gathering purposes. According to Microsoft, the hacking group goes by the code name Volt Typhoon and has been active since mid-2021. It also said that they (Volt Typhoon) are working to disrupt key communications infrastructure between the U.S. and Asia.

마이크로소프트는 중국 정부가 지원하는 해커들이 정보 수집을 목적으로 미국의 주요 사이버 인프라를 손상시켰다고 밝혔다. 마이크로소프트에 따르면 해당 해킹그룹이 볼트타이푼(Volt Typhoon)이라는 코드명으로 불리고, 2021년 중반부터 활동해 왔다고 전했다. 또한 이들이(볼트타이푼) 미국과 아시아 사이의 주요 통신 인프라를 방해하기 위해 활동하는 것으로 말했다.
