Do Kwon co-founded Terra Luna and TerraUSD - two cryptocurrencies that collapsed. Terra Luna lost 99% of its value in May and its sister token, TerraUSD, fell to $0.40. Prosecutors believe Terraform Labs, which is registered in Singapore, violated capital market rules. Mr Kwon has not responded to a BBC request for comment.

국제적인 비밀 해킹 조직으로 알려진 어나니머스(Anonymous)가 유튜브 채널을 통해 스테이블코인 테라(Terra) 공동 설립자 권도형에 대한 선전포고를 전했다. 암호화폐 시장 파괴 혐의를 놓고 그의 불법 사례를 추적해 낱낱이 밝히겠다고 선언한 것.

'테라 생태계 복원 계획'에 대한 커뮤니티 투표는 25일 마감 시간을 기준으로 찬성 65.5%, 반대 0.33%, 기권 20.98%로 과반수 이상이 표를 던지며 최종적으로 승인됐다. 이에 따라 새로운 테라는 알고리즘 스테이블코인 기반이 아닌 새로운 형식으로 27일부터 새로운 형태로 2.0 체인을 형성할 예정이다.

Do Kwon, CEO of Terraform Labs, said today on Twitter that contrary to reports, his company has no tax liabilities in South Korea. Terraform Labs is the core development team working on the Terra blockchain whose native assets, LUNA and UST stablecoin, recently collapsed after a bank run that wiped out billions of dollars of value. A recent media report suggested that authorities in Korea were investigating Kwon and Terraform Labs in more than $78 million in unpaid corporate taxes.

More than 85 million votes have been cast in favor of forking the Terra network. The proposal needs 188 million votes in favor to pass before the window closes on May 25. The governance proposal would create a new chain named Terra not linked to UST, using the token LUNA.

The ongoing saga with Terraform Labs, the blockchain developer behind Terra (LUNA), took a turn following a supposed change in employment status for many on the firm’s legal team. According to their LinkedIn profiles, Terraform Labs general counsel Marc Goldich, chief litigation and regulatory counsel Noah Axler and chief corporate counsel Lawrence Florio have all stopped working for the blockchain firm as of May 2022. Goldich started at Terraform Labs in August 2021 while Axler and Florio joined in January 2022.
