Databricks, a data and AI platform company, is expected to raise its valuation to over $100 billion through a new Series K funding round. Databricks announced that it plans to close the Series K round soon with support from existing investors, though it did not disclose the specific amount of funding. The company’s valuation reached $62 billion after securing more than $10 billion in its Series J round last January. To date, Databricks has raised a total of $14.7 billion through 14 funding rounds. With this new investment, Databricks plans to accelerate its AI strategy, expand its global market presence, and strengthen AI-related acquisitions and research. In particular, the company intends to focus on developing its product AI agent software, Agent Bricks, and its operational database, Lakebase.
