Research teams from the United States and China have released their verification results for the room-temperature superconductor claimed to be developed by a Korean research team. The research team led by Professor Chang Haixin from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China claimed to have successfully reproduced the 'room-temperature, atmospheric-pressure superconductor LK-99'. The team asserted that they had verified the Meissner effect, a phenomenon where the magnetic field disappears in a material that has become a superconductor. Additionally, Sinead Griffin, a researcher from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in the United States, released the results of a simulation of the LK-99 structure, stating that theoretically, LK-99 appears to have a sufficiently high critical temperature.
