However, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman mentioned that GPT-4.5 is a "huge and expensive model" and "won't dominate benchmarks." The company stated that this model may not perform as well as o1 or o3-mini. GPT-4.5 is currently being offered as a research preview for ChatGPT Pro users, with plans to gradually expand to other user groups in the future.
