U.S. President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order on Thursday related to the sale of TikTok’s U.S. operations. The order states that the deal, currently being negotiated by the White House, meets the requirements of a law enacted in 2024. The White House previously said the agreement to separate TikTok’s U.S. operations from its Chinese parent company ByteDance would comply with the conditions outlined in the TikTok ban law passed by Congress. The law stipulates that unless TikTok’s Chinese ownership is resolved, the app will be banned in the United States.
