Australian data center operator Macquarie Data Centres said it has received approval to build a new artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled data center in Sydney's northern region. The data center, 'IC3 Super West', will be able to handle a total of 63 megawatts (MW) of IT load and is expected to meet the power and cooling demands of the increasingly dense workloads of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies. "IC3 Super West will be an important addition to our Macquarie Park data center campus, allowing us to increase our total IT load to 63 megawatts," said Macquarie Data Center, "We are committed to providing a secure and future-proof data center environment that is certified by the Australian Government."
