Google Messages is currently beta testing a variety of new features. This update aims to enhance user experience and strengthen security, with some features already being gradually rolled out. One of the most notable additions is the "Delete for everyone" feature. Until now, messages could only be deleted from the sender's own device, but now, users can remove sent messages from all participants in a group chat. A new feature also allows users to set a custom group chat icon, replacing the default display of up to four profile pictures. Users can change the image directly by tapping the pencil icon in the group info screen. The sensitive content warning feature is also being improved. Images suspected of containing nudity will be blurred, and users will have the option to delete them before viewing. This feature works entirely on-device, with no content being sent to Google servers. The text input field is now expandable up to 14 lines, and the camera and gallery interfaces have been merged when sending media. In addition, users can now send photos and videos in "Original quality (HD+)." This feature is already available to some users and is expected to be rolled out more widely in the future.
