Microsoft announced the launch of its AI assistant Copilot on Samsung's 2025 smart TV and monitor lineup, transforming the biggest screen in homes into a personal and helpful companion available for free. The service is available on 2025 TV models including Micro RGB, Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame Pro, The Frame, as well as M7, M8, and M9 Smart Monitors, activated by pressing the mic button on Samsung remotes. Copilot appears as a friendly animated blob character that can provide movie and show recommendations, spoiler-free recaps, actor information, and explanations of complex topics through voice-powered AI interactions. Users can sign in with their Microsoft account for personalized answers and conversation memory, though the basic features work without an account. This collaboration extends Microsoft and Samsung's long-standing technology partnership, which includes Windows and Office on Galaxy devices and Xbox Cloud Gaming on Samsung TVs.
