The laptops also feature a 12-megapixel webcam with desk view and a nano-texture display option that reaches up to 1,600 nits in HDR. Apple claims the M4 chips have the "world’s fastest CPU core" with unmatched single-core performance, making the new MacBook Pros top choices for creative professionals needing powerful multithreading.
Alongside the MacBook Pro update, Apple announced that all MacBook Air models with M2 and M3 chips will now ship with 16GB of RAM, signaling Apple's shift towards higher base RAM configurations.
