Email sent to your duck address forwards to your chosen primary email—but with trackers removed.

The overall European car market is still in the red, and the European passenger plugin vehicle market has also started to get affected. At the same time, BEVs managed to grow last month, by 19%. That’s down on the yearly average growth rate (+30%), but it’s a whole lot better than everything around it. We are seeing two-digit drops across the board. Last month’s plugin vehicle share of the overall European auto market was 19% (11% full electrics/BEVs), keeping the 2022 plugin vehicle (PEV) share at 20% (12% for BEVs alone).

The number of secondary market transactions of Nike NFTs reached 67,500 while the secondary transaction volume topped US$1.29 billion, ranking first among all the 12 listed NFT-issued brands. Other sports and fashion companies occupy the top five of this NFT revenue list, followed by Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany and Gucci, with revenues of US$25 million, US$12 million and US$11 million, respectively. Adidas came in fifth with US$10 million in total revenue, but was second with more than 51,000 transactions.

Tesla shares will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on Thursday. Shareholders voted to approve the 3-for-1 Tesla stock split at the company’s annual meeting in early August. When Tesla first proposed the new stock split, it said the move was primarily intended to help the company “offer every employee the option of receiving equity,” and give employees flexibility in managing the stock they earned.

Apple just announced it will hold a press event on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. ET where it’s expected to announce new iPhones. The launch event will be streamed on Apple’s website. Apple has held virtual pre-recorded launch events since the start of the Covid pandemic in 2020. Apple is also inviting people to watch the launch at its campus in Cupertino, California.

YouTube is adding a "Explore" page for podcasts. The site was first revealed in March as a place to find and listen to podcasts. It appears to have gone live in late July, but it's not yet widely available for all users. It's very rudimentary at this point, with carousels for popular episodes, playlists, and more.
