The FTC determined that continuing the lawsuit over a deal that has already closed is not in the public interest. FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson plans to focus the agency’s resources on cases that align with President Donald Trump’s policies, including a recent investigation into whether advertisers colluded to reduce spending on the social media platform X.
