마이크로소프트가 ‘가장 한심하고 역겨운 설문조사’를 실시해 언론과 독자들로부터 엄청난 비난을 받고 있다. 기업은 최근 홈페이지와 뉴스 관리에 기존의 직원을 해고하고 AI를 광범위하게 수용했으며 이후 기괴한 가짜뉴스가 증폭하고 있다.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has taken down fake accounts suspected to be behind the Chinese government. Meta said the Chinese government had set up fake accounts with multiple offices in the country to spread fake news and attempt to incite. Meta described the accounts as spamouflage (a combination of spam and camouflage). They operated from offices across China and appeared to be staffed on a rotating basis, the company said. The announcement brings the total number of accounts Meta has taken down to more than 7,000.

Google Jigsaw, which tackles online security, will run ads on YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook. The ads will be shown in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland to combat fake news about Ukrainian refugees. Researchers found the videos improved people's ability to recognise manipulative content. The research was founded on a developing area of study called "prebunking"
