Google has responded to reports that it will stop sourcing semiconductor chips for its artificial intelligence technology from US-based Broadcom, saying that "there is no change in our contract with Broadcom". IT publication The Information reported that the company was considering a broader move to stop sourcing semiconductors from Broadcom as early as 2027. Google's decision comes after a dispute with Broadcom over chip pricing, it added. Broadcom, meanwhile, is a major player in AI semiconductors, second only to Nvidia, and is expected to receive $3 billion in revenue from Google this year.
