Apple's director of machine learning has left the company over its return to work policy. Ian Goodfellow joined Apple in 2019 after six years at Google. Apple is requiring employees to work in person three days a week starting on May 23. This is the start of a phased-in approach to the company's in-person work plan. Apple employees started working from home on April 11 after a two-year absence.
