메타, 사진검색 플랫폼 '기피' 매각… 3,400억원 손해

Facebook parent company MetaPlatform has sold Giphy, a stock image search platform, following a divestiture order from the UK's antitrust authority, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Shutterstock, an online stock image marketplace, announced that it is acquiring Giphy from Meta for $53 million. That's about $315 million less than the $415.8 million that Meta reportedly paid for Giphy in 2020, and the company said it expects to close all acquisition and sale talks within the next month.
