Meta will expand the news service, which was recently shut down in Canada. Facebook News will be discontinued in the U.K., Germany, and France starting in early December, Meta said. Meta's "Facebook News," a dedicated tab within the main Facebook interface, was introduced in 2019. It was first introduced in the U.S. and then expanded globally, including the U.K., Germany, Australia, and France.
