인텔은 지난 22일 인텔 코어 13세대 14세대 칩 사용 데스크톱들이 상승된 전압에 노출된 원인에 대해 프로세서 내 작동을 제어하는 소프트웨어인 마이크로코드의 버그가 원인이라고 지목하고, 8월 중순엔 이 사태의 ‘근본적인 원인’을 해결해 줄 패치가 출시될 것이라고 확인했다. 인텔은 해당 문제를 해결할 마이크로 코드 패치 검증을 거쳐 이를 그 시점까지 주요 PC제조사와 메인보드 제조사에 공급할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
