전세계 전기차 업계의 수요 정체현상이 장기화되고 있는 상황에서 차세대 배터리 시장 주도권확보를 위한 세계 각국의 경쟁이 뜨겁다. 전기차에 들어가는 불 안나고, 힘좋고, 장거리 운행을 보장하는 이른 바 ‘꿈의 배터리’인 전고체 배터리 양산 경쟁 얘기다. 독일 메르세데스-벤츠, 미국 팩토리얼 에너지, 도요타, BYD, CATL 같은 경쟁국가 브랜드의 이름이 거론된다. 우리나라의 삼성 SDI, SK온, LG에너지솔루션도 활발히 나서고 있다.
