국내 연구진이 온·오프라인으로 자유롭게 소통하고 협업할 수 있는 메타버스 플랫폼을 개발함으로써 다양한 신규 서비스 창출과 메타버스 실현 및 상용화에 큰 도움이 될 전망이다.한국전자통신연구원이 확장현실(XR) 형태의 메타버스 공간에서 다수의 원격 참여자가 상호작용하며 다양한 업무를 수행할 수 있는 세계 최고 수준의 XR 협업 플랫폼 기술 개발에 성공했다고 8일 밝혔다.

Metaverse is next on the internet, which utilises the open-source technical layer for building proprietary augmented spaces. Some of the critical security and safety concerns on metaverse are sexual harassment, discrimination, hate crimes, identity theft etc. While we have some legal frameworks to tackle concerns like sexual harassment and identity theft, it is unclear how they will apply to conduct and behaviour over metaverse.

Nissan revealed its most affordable EV to date. The so-called Sakura is a cute electric minicar with a base price of just under $14,000 (2,333,100 yen). Destined for the Japanese market, where Kei city-driving cars are popular, the Sakura comes with some pretty top-notch features for its category. Powered by a 20kW lithium-ion battery, the EV has a top speed of 130km/h and enough juice for 180km of range — just 60km less than the Nissan Leaf.
