BMW, 미국에 전기차 시설에 2조4천억 투자

BMW will invest $1.7 billion to build electric vehicles in the United States. The German company will spend $700 million on a new high-voltage battery assembly facility. BMW will not set a date to end production of gas-powered vehicles. BMW Group Chairman Oliver Zipse said the U.S. EV tax credit law could prevent automakers from using the credit.

미국 바이든 행정부가 2일(현지시간) 미국 내 전기차 배터리 증산에 31억달러(약 3조9300억원) 규모의 예산 지원 계획을 밝혔다고 경제매체 CNBC가 보도했다. 미국은 중국, 유럽에 이어 세계 3위의 전기차 시장으로 평가된다. 그러나 아직 전기차 판매 비중은 낮은 편이다.
