Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas on Monday. He was due to testify before a US congressional committee on the collapse of FTX. The Bahamas attorney-general said the US is likely to request his extradition. The former chief executive of the bankrupt crypto exchange was arrested at the request of the US.

Securities regulators in the Bahamas say they ordered the transfer of FTX digital assets into their own custody. The value of the assets is unknown. FTX has accused the Bahamian government of seizing FTX assets and moving them into its own custody, an accusation borne out by the regulator's own statement.
