Snap Inc. has reached a $35 million settlement in an Illinois class action lawsuit. The settlement is due to Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act. The law requires companies to ask for consent before collecting biometric data from users. Illinois residents who used Snapchat's AR features may be eligible for a cut of the settlement.
