Email newsletter platform Substack has announced a new feature called Substack Notes. Substack Notes is a new feature that looks a lot like Twitter, with users being able to share links and post short pieces of text to start discussions, and people being able to comment on posts. "It's easy to think of Substack as a Twitter rival," said Chris Best, CEO of Substack, "but until Substack Notes, we were more of an enterprise software. With Substack Notes, we're competing with social networks like Twitter. We're launching a consumer product designed to be easy for our readers to use. We are no longer just a software vendor, but a consumer product company."
