Eric Meiggs and Declan Harrington were sentenced to two years in prison for SIM swapping. They stole about $330,000 in cryptocurrency from at least 10 victims across the US. SIM-swapping gives a fraudster remote access to a phone number used to authenticate logins to banking, email, and social media accounts.
