European Union antitrust regulators are investigating Microsoft's Bing and Apple's iMessage for violations of the new Digital Markets Act. The Digital Markets Act is intended to limit the abuse of dominant positions by big tech companies. The investigation comes after the companies challenged the exemption of these services from regulation. The EU Commission previously named six companies - Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Bytedance, Meta, and Microsoft - as regulated entities.
