Cryptocurrency intermediaries, including exchanges and payment processors, will have to report new information about users' digital asset sales and transactions to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under U.S. Treasury Department rules, the Biden administration said. The regulation is part of a broader push by Congress and regulators to crack down on cryptocurrency users who don't pay taxes, it added.
