Apple will open its first Apple Store in India later this month, marking its first major push into the country's smartphone market, the second largest in the world. Apple, which has grown its manufacturing and sales base in China for decades, has embarked on a "de-China" strategy amid China's zero-coronavirus quarantine and the US-China conflict. Seeing the potential of the Indian market, which has become the world's No. 1 population, the company is diversifying not only production but also sales.

일론 머스크가 연일 애플의 앱스토어 인앱 정책을 비난하는 가운데 마크 저커버그 메타 최고경영자도 지원사격에 나섰다. 30일(현지시간) CNBC에 따르면 마크 저커버그는 뉴욕타임즈 딜북 서밋에서 애플의 앱스토어 쟁책을 정면 비판했다고 전했다. 메타는 지난해 애플이 맞춤형 광고가 사실상 불가능하게끔 개인정보 정책을 바꾸면서 광고 매출에 직격타를 입었다. 사실상 머스크의 애플 비판에 지원사격하고 나선 것이다.

About 150 Apple store staff in Australia went on strike for an hour Tuesday. They refused to provide services that included repairing AirPods and managing deliveries. The strike and task refusals were spurred in part by labor action in the US. There, workers at an increasing number of stores have tried to join unions with varying success.

Employees at an Apple store in Towson, Maryland voted Saturday to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The tally was 65 votes in favor and 33 opposed out of approximately 110 eligible employees. The Towson store is the first unionized Apple store in the U.S.
