올초 ITC는 애플의 애플 워치가 의료 모니터기술 회사인 마시모의 특허를 침해했다는 혐의를 인정하고, 애플워치의 미국내 반입을 12월 26일부터 금지한다고 결정했다. 이에 앞서 60일간 미행정부 거부권 검토 기간이 주어졌다. 그 최종일인 26일 조 바이든 미 대통령은 의료 모니터링 기술 회사 마시모의 손을 들어준 것이다.
