Bloomberg's Mark German, an expert Apple forecaster, said in his weekly newsletter "Power On" that Apple will release the fourth generation of AirPods with new features in 2024. He also said that the AirPods 4 will come in two versions, targeting different price points, and will aim to replace both the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3, which are already on sale.
