삼성, 프리미엄 오디오 시장 장악 나서…하만, 마시모 오디오 부문 인수

삼성 자회사 하만이 마시모의 오디오 사업부를 3,850억원($350 million)에 인수한다. 바워스 앤 윌킨스, 데논, 폴크 오디오 등 프리미엄 브랜드가 삼성의 오디오 포트폴리오에 합류하며, 이를 통해 삼성은 소비자 오디오 시장 글로벌 1위 위치를 강화하고 자사 제품군에 전문 오디오 기술을 적용할 계획이다.

In Q3 2023, global smart personal audio shipments fell 3% year-over-year to 110 million units. The report also found that while developed markets struggled, emerging markets showed strong growth. True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones accounted for 73% of all shipments, as they still dominate the affordable mass market segment, according to a report by market research firm Canalys.
