"I acknowledge that what I said, when I said it, and how I said it upset a lot of people," Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave wrote on his account, "and I deeply apologize to those who were hurt." Cosgrave's criticism of Israel's response to the Hamas attacks, which he called a "war crime," has led to companies backing away from the event.
