Hearing aids will soon be available over the counter without a prescription. The FDA announced a new final rule Tuesday that could be in stores by mid-October. The new rule could also give headphone companies an easier way to sell headphone-like devices that function as hearing aids. The line between headphone and hearing aid has been blurring for years.
