유럽, 전기세 급등으로 전기차 가격 상승... 생산성 저하 문제로

Rocketing electricity prices are increasing the cost of driving electric vehicles in Europe, in some cases making them more expensive to run than gas-powered models—a change that could threaten the continent’s electric transition. Electricity prices have soared in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, in some cases eliminating the cost advantage at the pump that EVs have enjoyed. In some cases, the cost difference between driving both types of cars 100 miles has become negligible. In others, EVs have become more expensive to fuel than equivalent gasoline-powered cars.

슬라가 흔들리고 있다. 미국 전기차업체 테슬라의 주가가 하루 11% 이상 폭락했다. 이번 폭락을 기준으로 테슬라는 7일 거래 연속 하락했으며 하락폭은 35.23을 기록했다. 결국 전 세계 시가총액 순위는 20위까지 추락했다.

Foxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturing giant that makes Apple's iPhones, is developing the electrical architecture of the vehicles.

European Union strikes deal on law to effectively ban sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035. Carmakers must achieve a 100% cut in CO2 emissions by 2035, which would make it impossible to sell new fossil fuel-powered vehicles in the 27-country bloc. Deal also includes a 55% cut for new cars sold from 2030 versus 2021 levels, much higher than existing target of 37.5% reduction.

Sixt will buy 100,000 electric vehicles from Chinese automaker BYD. The first of the new vehicles will be delivered to the company this year. Sixt hopes to electrify 70% to 90% of its European fleet by 2030. The agreement is the first of its kind with a car rental firm in Europe.

Maserati's new electric GranTurismo Folgore coupe is the lowest-sitting EV on the market. It has a 92.5kWh battery with an 800V architecture that allows up to 270kW charging. The two-door coupe has a claimed 0-62MPH time of 2.7 seconds and a 198.9MPH top speed.
