페라리도 전기차로 간다 "2030년까지 전기차 비중 80%까지 늘릴 것"

UK government has closed its £300 million electric car rebate program. This will leave the UK as the only large European country without any incentives for electric cars. Automakers there say that while the decision was not a surprise, it is still regarded as “hugely disappointing”

Sony and Honda have named their joint electric vehicle partnership Sony Honda Mobility. The new company will be established in Tokyo before the end of 2022. Honda executive Yasuhide Mizuno will be chairman and CEO, and Sony EVP Izumi Kawanishi president. Sony will contribute "imaging, sensing, telecommunication, network and entertainment technologies"

Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group started building its first plant to produce electric-car batteries Wednesday, the contract electronics manufacturer’s latest step into the booming electric-vehicle industry. Foxconn said it plans to invest about 6 billion New Taiwan dollars, equivalent to about $200 million, on battery production lines and a research-and-development center in Kaohsiung city in southern Taiwan.

Canada Post laid out its key commitments for the Corporation to reduce its environmental footprint and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Canada Post has earmarked $1 billion to cut emissions and transform its fleet. With nearly 14,000 vehicles and Canada’s largest retail network of close to 6,000 post offices, Canada Post acknowledges its footprint is significant. The Corporation will transform its fleet to non-emitting transportation, with commitments to reach a 50 per cent electric fleet by 2030 and 100 per cent by 2040.

리비안 R1S 전기 SUV, 인도 시기 또 연기

Rivian's R1S SUV delivery window has been pushed back several months. The electric vehicle maker blamed supply chain issues for the latest delay. Rivian has struggled to scale up production amid a global parts shortage. The company currently operates service centers in only 14 states, so customers in other areas will likely have a longer wait.

포드 머스탱 마하-E 긴급 판매 중단, 5만대 리콜

Ford is recalling nearly 50,000 of its electric Mustang Mach-E crossovers. The recall is due to a battery safety issue that could cause the vehicle to lose power unexpectedly. The automaker is issuing a software update to fix the problem. In addition to the recall, Ford has issued a stop-sale on the electric Mustang.

테슬라가 5:1 주식 분할안을 추진한다. SEC 신고 후 오는 8월 4일 주총에서 이를 안건트로 통과시킬 계획이다. 테슬라는 주식 액면 분할을 통해 주주 가치 향상과 직원 보상을 거론했다. 주가 인상 효과와 함께 스톡옵션 제공 및 행사 등 임직원 보상에도 유리한 환경을 제공한다는 설명이다.

미국 바이든 행정부는 오는 2030년까지 미국 전역 50만개의 전기차 충전소 네트워크를 구축한다는 계획을 추진하고 있다. 충전소 네트워크에 가장 선행되어야 할 충전 표준안 마련에 나선 것. 충전 표준안은 전기차 제조사, 차량 브랜드, 충전기에 구애받지 않고 전기차 운전자라면 누구나 접근할 수 있는 규격을 확보, 보급하는 것을 골자로 하고 있다.

Polestar has delivered 65,000 Polestars to Hertz as part of a deal struck in April. The EV automaker says the deal is one of the largest single EV purchases in history. The deal is a dig at Tesla, which supposedly had a deal with Hertz last year for 100,000 Model 3s.

바이든 행정부, 전기차 충전 표준안 제안

The Biden administration this week proposed new standards for its program to build a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030. Officials said the proposal will help establish the groundwork for states to build charging station projects that are accessible to all drivers regardless of the location, EV brand or charging company. Earlier this year, the White House introduced a plan to allocate $5 billion to states to fund EV chargers during the next five years.

바이두 전기차 회사 지두, 첫 '로봇' 자동차 공개

Baidu's electric vehicle arm Jidu Auto launches a "robot" concept car. The concept car is free of door handles and can be fully controlled via voice recognition. The company plans to mass produce the model, which would be 90% similar to the concept, in 2023.
