It's looking increasingly likely that Nvidia will do another stock split. Nvidia has split its stock a total of five times since 2000. The most recent split was in July 2021, a 4-for-1 split that gave shareholders four additional shares for every one they owned.

On Friday, Amazon stock closed at $2,447 a share. On Monday, the stock was almost $125 a share, a 5000% decline. But Amazon shareholders didn't lose a penny on Monday. That's because the company executed a 20-for-1 stock split, which means shareholders got 19 additional shares for every one they owned before Monday.
