Cryptocurrency exchange site was set to replace Gazprom as Champions League sponsor. Deal fell through amid concerns over increased regulation of the sector. Uefa declined to comment on the collapse of the deal with Crypto.com. The site also has sponsorship deals with Formula 1, the Ice Hockey World Championship and the 2022 Fifa World Cup.

Paramount+ has extended its streaming rights with the UEFA Champions League until 2030. The existing contract was originally meant to expire by 2024. The new contract will cost Paramount $250 million per year and a total $1.5 billion USD. Some of the matches will be broadcast on both CBS and CBS Sports Network.
