마이크로소프트와 아마존이 어닝 시즌을 앞두고 잇다른 인력 구조조정을 발표하면서 빅테크 업계에 ‘감원 칼바람’이 불고 있다. 이를 계기로 지난해 3분기 실적을 통해 드러난 빅테크의 실적 악화 전망이 현실화하는 것이 아니냐는 관측이 나온다. 18일(현지시간) CNBC에 따르면 아마존은 이날부터 직원들에게 해고 통보를 시작했다. 이달 초 예고했던 대로 인사, 매장 부문을 중심으로 1만 8000명 규모의 정리해고가 본격화한 것이다.

Microsoft announced Wednesday that it's cutting 10,000 employees. Amazon is also cutting 18,000 jobs, the largest workforce reduction in the e-retailer's 28-year history. The tech industry is facing slowing growth, higher interest rates and fears of a possible recession.
