유럽연합(EU) 의회는 오는 2024년 말부터 USB-C를 모든 새로운 스마트폰, 태블릿 및 카메라용 케이블을 C타입 USB(USB-C)표준으로 단일화하도록 강제하는 새로운 법을 지난 4일(현지시각) 통과시켰다. EU 의원들이 찬성 602표, 반대 13표로 채택한 이 법안은 노트북(제조사들)에는 유예 기간을 두어 2026년 초부터 적용받도록 했다.

The company stopped including charging bricks two years ago to make the boxes smaller and to reduce the carbon footprint. The Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security said the company could take other steps, like switching to USB-C.

Though, eventually, Tesla plans to open its Supercharging network to non-Tesla EV owners, and it’s already started that in Europe.
