메타·캠브리지 집단 소송 사태, 합의금 청구 시작

Individuals can now claim a share of the settlement of a class action lawsuit related to Meta's Cambridge Analytica data breach. At the time, Meta said it had agreed to pay a $725 million penalty to resolve the class action. The Cambridge Analytica data breach occurred in March 2018, when a research team gathered large amounts of personal information to target voters in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and shared it with data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica. If you used Facebook between May 2007 and December 2022 and lived in the United States during that time, you may be eligible for a cash settlement.
