디즈니 밥 아이거 CEO, 걱정은 '스트리밍' 사업

In a business plan filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ahead of a prospectus, Disney said it will invest a total of $6 billion over the next decade in experiential businesses such as theme parks and cruises. That's a doubling of investment. Disney has been undergoing an intense restructuring that has seen its valuation halved in the past two years. This is in contrast to billions of dollars in cost-cutting across its streaming business, Disney+, and its movie and TV divisions. Industry analysts believe that unlike streaming services, theme parks are still a strong growth engine for Disney, with long-term fan loyalty.

Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood will open on February 17, 2023. It will be the most immersive and significant new addition to the Los Angeles theme park since the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in April 2016. At the heart of the 360-degree themed area on the Lower Lot area will be Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, inspired by the iconic Mario Kart games.
