Daniel Ackerman, editor-in-chief of global tech publication Gizmodo, has filed a lawsuit against Apple and others alleging that the upcoming Apple TV Plus movie Tetris plagiarizes his 2016 book The Tetris Effect. Ackerman claims that Apple, The Tetris Company, the producers of the Tetris movie, and screenwriter Noah Pink copied The Tetris Effect's "feel, tone, approach, and scenes" of Tetris Effect, particularly the game's launch frame of a "Cold War spy thriller.
