Sophomore slump, second place is the first loser, even the parable of the prodigal son is about the second child - second place is deeply embedded in our culture. Even in the world of smartwatches, we don't talk about the Apple Watch Series 2. Samsung went straight from the Galaxy Watch to the Galaxy Watch 3, and Wear OS 2 was devalued. So it's a bit disconcerting to hear that the $349.99 Google Pixel Watch 2 is getting better reviews than its predecessor.
