U.S. Senator Ron Wyden has weighed in on the need for the public to know the details surrounding the U.S. government's long-running phone surveillance program. Wyden sent a letter (PDF) to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland asking him to release more information about the Hemisphere project, which appears to give law enforcement access to trillions of domestic phone records.
