Hyundai Motor is in talks to buy South Korea-based 42dot, a lidar-free autonomous mobility platform. The automaker currently owns a 20.4% stake in the three-year-old startup. 42dot's co-founder and chief executive Chang-Hyeon Song also leads the transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) team at Hyundai.
