U.S. IT insights firm CRN has named the 10 most promising AI startups to watch in 2023. Since the beginning of the year, the AI buzz has been one of the industry's top stories, with companies of all types more than doubling their investments in AI technology as part of their digital transformation. While some AI startups are being acquired by larger tech companies, others are raising tens of millions of dollars in funding from investors and private equity firms to take their AI innovation engines to new heights.

Corporate venture capitalists are making larger investments to accelerate the growth of artificial intelligence startups, driven by enterprise demand for generative AI tools like ChatGPT, investors and analysts said. The median amount of capital contributed by corporate venture capitalists to funding deals for AI startups globally during the first quarter was $23.3 million, up about 37% from the average amount of $17 million for all of 2022, according to market research firm CB Insights.
