Canoo announced Wednesday it will acquire a vehicle manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City. The new facility will be dedicated to producing Canoo’s electric Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle (LDV) and Lifestyle Vehicle (LV), an electric SUV. Canoo CEO Tony Aquila said the company expects to start production for the LDV on November 17 and complete final certification in the first quarter of 2023.

Rivian Automotive is recalling more than 12,000 vehicles. The recall includes nearly every EV the company has made to date. Rivian estimates that only about 1% of those vehicles have the defect. The defect involves a fastener in the front suspension that may not have been tightened fully.
