미국 금융당국이 13일(이하 현지시간) 세계 3위 암호화폐 거래소 FTX 파산과 관련해 창업자 샘 뱅크먼-프리드를 사기 등의 혐의로 기소했다. 월스트리트저널(WSJ)은 13일(현지시간) 미국 증권관리위원회(SEC)와 상품선물거래위원회(CFTC)가 투자자 사기 혐의로 뉴욕 남부연방지방법원에 샘 뱅크먼에 대한 민사소송을 제기했다고 밝혔다. 사기와 음모, 돈세탁 등 8개 혐의다.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is charged with eight counts of fraud and conspiracy. He is accused of misappropriating FTX.com customers' deposits and using those to pay expenses and debts of his hedge fund. The Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission sue him for fraud.
