In Indonesia's upcoming election, candidates are vying for the youth vote. K-Pop, TikTok, cats, and more are all being used to appeal to young voters. "The election atmosphere is everywhere," says Nafis Atallah, who is voting for the first time at age 18, and has noticed that candidates' campaign tactics are everywhere in her life. Campaign banners fluttered on the streets, sidewalks, and even outside his home, and his social media feeds were filled with videos, fan art, and opinions from the candidates. "Even my friends were split on who to support," says Nafis, "and they're debating, realizing how important young voters are to the election.
